PlaceBet launched in 2024 as a combined casino and sportsbook targeting European players, accepting both fiat currencies such as EUR, NOK and PLN and a long list of cryptocurrencies. It is important to know up front that the brand is no longer active: LCB lists the casino as closed as of June 2026, another review site reports that it suspended operations, and the placebet.io domain now redirects to a domain sale page. The name is also generic, so do not confuse it with other betting sites using similar wording.

Licensing information was inconsistent. One review site describes PlaceBet as operating under a Curaçao certificate of operation while its application to the Curaçao Gaming Control Board was pending, while another associates it with the Tobique Gaming Commission. Because the regulator could not be confirmed and the site is offline, no licence number is given here.

While it was open, PlaceBet offered a casino welcome package of up to €1,000 plus 150 free spins spread over the first three deposits, with 30x wagering and a €10 minimum, as well as weekday and weekend reload offers. The library reportedly included around 2,600 slots alongside table games, live dealer titles and a sportsbook. Deposits were possible by card, e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, vouchers, bank transfer and crypto.

Withdrawals were the weak point. Players faced a €20 minimum, a pending period of up to 10 business days followed by several more days of processing, and cashout caps of €3,000 per week and €12,000 per month. Support did not include phone and live chat was not round the clock. With the operation closed and its licensing unclear, PlaceBet cannot be recommended, and anyone with an outstanding balance should contact the relevant regulator or a complaint mediator.
